Carie is a third-year law student at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. With a background of 15 years in healthcare, Carie’s interest in law is driven by a passion for community economic development and addressing systemic issues affecting marginalized populations.
Carie focuses on studying public interest law, recognizing it as a powerful tool for effecting positive change in underserved communities. Carie is actively involved in a community development project at Public Counsel, the nation’s largest provider of legal pro bono services. In this role, they work tirelessly to provide small businesses and nonprofits with the resources and support they need to reinvest in their communities and foster sustainable growth.
