By submitting a Submission, however, you hereby grant There is a Light Foundation a worldwide, irrevocable, nonexclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, perform, and use in any other manner that may be hereafter developed by There is a Light Foundation’s (and its successors’ and affiliates’) operations, including in any media formats and through any media channels that exist now or may be developed, the Submissions.

(c) You agree not to submit a Submission that contains any material that is copyrighted, protected by trade secret, or otherwise subject to third-party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to use the material and to grant There is a Light Foundation all of the license rights outlined herein.   • Q. What types of courses are ideal for acceptance of the TIAL scholarship grant?
    Any online course, collegiate classes, online specialty course, exams like the BAR, LSAT, or Medical Licensing exams, etc
  • What criteria do I need to meet to be eligible for consideration?
    • Be 18 years of age or older
    • Currently a high school senior, a college or vocational school student, or a recent law school graduate preparing for the bar exam or other licensure coursework.
    • Provide documentation of application or enrollment into an educational program
    • Provide a specific plan (video) of how you will further your professional development.
  • Q. Does your scholarship provide grants for individuals to help pay for laptops and other equipment?
    No.
  • Q. Does your scholarship help with financial aid for expenses like rent, car payments, and equipment?

    No.

  • Q. How much can I receive toward educational expenses and/or professional license training courses?

    Our foundation provides financial assistance between the amounts of $2,500 - $5,000 to individuals to help them get to the next level in their career. Examples of expenses we cover are:

    • Undergraduate degree programs
    • Bar exam preparation courses for recent law school graduates
    • Nursing degree preparation courses
    • Graduate school degree programs
    • Professional certification courses

    Please keep your video to under 2 min.
  • Q. How long does it take to know if I am accepted for the TIAL grant?

    Please give us 2-3 weeks to review your application carefully.

  • Q. If I have been accepted OR denied for the TIAL grant in the past, can I apply again if I need financial aid?

    Yes.
