Ester attended Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles with the goals of giving back to her community by becoming a public defender and starting a non-profit organization. While in law school, she co-founded a student organization that allows formerly incarcerated students to advocate for themselves, acquire resources they need, and positively impact youth in LA County who are either on probation or foster care.
She also contributed to Loyola’s Project for the Innocent to understand the complexities of criminal court cases and make sure that she would have a well-rounded approach to her future cases.
She sought financial assistance while studying for the bar. You can view her story below.
